Given all that has happened this year, some may have experienced the cycle of anxiety that traps us in self-doubt and worry. When we have fear and unknowns you will usually find some degree of worry. Unfortunately, worry can elevate to anxiety and rumination when we hide our fears and ignore the unknowns. In this video, Jevon from BLND Health discusses how to break this cycle by challenging our thoughts and exposing ourselves to the truth.
Jevon Moore is a Lead Therapist with BLND and Limited License Clinical Social Worker. In this role, Jevon works closely with the BLND team to assist clients in achieving mental wellness and healthier outcomes. In addition to clinical care, Jevon draws on his experience as a community organizer to facilitate workshops on a variety of topics such as Coping with Anxiety, The Keys to Adjustment During Transitions, Effective Interpersonal Communication, and.
Jevon is particularly interested in helping individuals embrace their autonomy through mindfulness, positive self-talk and respect for others. Using a CBT strength-based approach paired with Motivational Interviewing, Jevon focuses on perspective taking, empathy and self-determination to align a client's thoughts with their behaviors. As a former athlete, he harps on the benefits of teamwork and support networks to increase accountability and challenge our fear of the unknown.
